Why spirulina?
The ancient civilisations got it. NASA studies it. The world's densest natural food source — and the heart of every OJAS bar.
Per 100g of spirulina. More protein-dense than beef, chicken or fish, and a complete amino acid profile.
One of the few plant sources of B12 — essential for energy, mood and red blood cell production.
Spirulina is one of the oldest organisms — algae that thrived before complex life, perfected over time.
One ingredient.
A multivitamin's worth of nutrition.
Spirulina is a blue-green algae that's been consumed for centuries — the Aztecs harvested it from Lake Texcoco. Today it's classified by the WHO as "the world's most concentrated food source."
It contains 60% complete protein by dry weight. It's one of the only plant sources of vitamin B12. It's rich in iron, magnesium, beta-carotene, gamma-linolenic acid and chlorophyll. It supports immune function, energy production and cellular repair.
It also tastes intensely earthy on its own — which is why most "spirulina snacks" taste like pond scum. We solved that by pairing it with dark chocolate and roasted peanut. You get the nutrition. The flavour disappears.
